Rainy Days

It dirties your shoes, and always ruins your hair

It leaves you there,

with all of your pride,

for people to stare.

It wets your face and drenches your clothes,

It’ll keep you inside ‘cus that’s how it goes.

It makes your tires slip and your vision wet and blurry,

And suddenly you become stressed out and worried.

Soon everybody will see the lies you have told,

And for some more than others,

it’s starting to get old.

There’s no stopping it and no where to hide,

This is your pay because you have lied.

And you find yourself face to face with reality

Because now your sins are out for everyone to see.

The rain is more than a few drips and drops,

It can last a long time before it finally stops.

It all depends on the length of your list,

The one that counts your wrongs

And who you hit with your fist.

But your sins affect more than just yourself,

As does the rain to everyone else.

The clouds in the sky are posters of our sins,

They show the battle of our wrongs,

The loses vs. the wins.

And when they begin to build up,

The rain will start to fall,

And everyone will see your sins,

That’s the drip drop law.

The rain is our reminder of the sins we have done,

And that we’ve been forgiven,

It shows in the sun.

We’re left of the hook because Jesus died for us,

But this thought must stay in your heart,

No if’s, and’s or but’s.

God in your heart should always show through,

In everything you say,

And everything you do.

That is the thanks that should never leave your mind,

Just look up above,

He’s not hard to find.

He always reminds us with the storms and the sun,

That his love for us,

We’ve already won.

…And it shows that the rain is a sign from above,

to forgive and forget,

and remember how to love.

Psalm 32:5 should always be your way,

And when you forget...

… there’ll be another rainy day.

"Psalm 32:5- I acknowledged my sin to You… and You forgave the iniquity of my sin."
